We ship orders Monday through Thursday (9:00 am - 4:00 pm). We do not ship orders out on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, or Public Holidays.
We do our best to ship orders out within 3 business days of the order being placed and payment being confirmed; however, please allow 1 to 3 additional business days for processing. We appreciate your patience while we create and securely package your sample. Holidays and promotional events or sales may result in longer shipping times.
On occasion, we may be on backorder or out of stock for a product. This happens when many orders come in at once before inventory updates. This may result in a delayed shipment—we will contact you in advance to inform you of the situation.
We try to decant from the same bottle as we try and avoid mixing juice from different batches for a single decant, in that case we try to arrange new bottle so your order comes from a single bottle. In this scenario we may have to order a new bottle from our supplier which can take up to a week to arrive, in this case we will contact you to inform you of the situation.
We ship Worldwide. We provide Free Shipping in Bahrain. For all international orders outside of Bahrain, a $20 USD flat charge applies.
Shipping charges are finalized once address information is available. Regular international shipping typically takes between 2-15 business days depending on the destination. However, we cannot completely guarantee the exact timing, as postal services may experience unforeseen delays beyond our control.
Important: Shipping addresses cannot be changed after an order has been placed. If you need to update your address, please cancel the order and re-order with the correct information.
Customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by their country. The Scent Base is not responsible for any delays or additional charges incurred due to customs clearance. As we do not charge any VAT or any other taxes on our website, you will be responsible for any customs duties, taxes, or import fees imposed by your country.
Incase of a custom hold up we are unable to provide a refund until the package is returned to us. If the package is returned to us, we will refund the customer for the cost of the products, but not the shipping charges. If you refuse to pay the customs duties and taxes, and the package is not returned to us, no refund will be offerred.
Customs may open up the original packaging to inspect the contents, this is out of our control. We are not responsible for any damage caused by customs. We are also not responsible for any lost packages due to customs.

Our Niche and Designer fragrance samples are 100% guaranteed by The Scent Base to be genuine and authentic perfumes, hand-decanted from the original manufacturer's bottle. Because we cannot guarantee product integrity once opened or used, we do not accept returns.
In the event you receive a damaged product, please email us right away (within 3 days of receipt) at [email protected] with details and a clear picture of the item as received.
If an international order is received damaged or not received at all, an insurance claim must be initiated and finalized before customer compensation or product replacement is executed by The Scent Base. If the item is received damaged, please contact The Scent Base within five business days of delivery to conduct a claim. Please hold onto your shipping box because our insurance company may want to inspect it. If the item is not received at all, we are required to wait 45 days after the shipment date to conduct an insurance claim.
Similarly, if you receive the wrong fragrance, notify us within 3 days with a clear image of the incorrect product. Replacements will only be issued if accurate and clear photographic evidence of the damage or error is provided.
Please inspect your package upon receipt. We will not replace or exchange any items once 3 days have passed from the time of delivery.
If your order has not yet shipped, The Scent Base can cancel the order and issue a refund. If the order has already shipped but you requested a cancellation beforehand, you may refuse the unopened package ("return to sender"). The customer is responsible for return shipping costs for cancelled orders.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Once a cancelled order is received back in stock and inspected, we will process your refund. Please allow 3-5 business days for the transaction to post to your account.
If your order has been scanned as "delivered" to the correct address/postal code, we will not replace or refund the order. We are not responsible for orders claimed lost or stolen after the time of delivery.
Note: Please allow a 1-2 day grace period for shipments scanned as "delivered," as packages are sometimes pre-scanned while in final transit.
The Scent Base shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government actions, war, civil unrest, strikes, carrier disruptions, or other force majeure events. In such cases, delivery timelines will be extended accordingly and we will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed.
Fragrances contain alcohol and are classified as flammable liquids under international shipping regulations. Certain carriers, routes, or destination countries may restrict or prohibit the shipment of such goods. The Scent Base ships via carriers that are authorised to handle these products; however, we cannot guarantee availability to all destinations. If your order cannot be shipped due to such restrictions, we will notify you and issue a full refund. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you are aware of the nature of the products and accept any associated shipping limitations.
