Released in 2009, Champaca Absolute by Tom Ford is floral, sweet, woody perfume with powdery undertones. Crafted by Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Elegant and tailored scent, long-lasting fragrance, great projection. It opens with bergamot, cognac and dyer’s greenweed, transitions through heart notes of champaca, jasmine, orchid and violet, and settles into a warm base of amber, marron glace, sandalwood and vanilla. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.

This Tom Ford release is certainly an interesting one, offering a unique, opulent floral experience. Champaca Absolute beautifully balances its lush florals with a delightful marron glace sweetness that really stands out. While it definitely leans more feminine, a man who appreciates these kinds of sophisticated scents could pull this off for a dressier social gathering or a special evening. The longevity here is impressive, easily lasting into the night, with a moderate to strong sillage. It's not an everyday office wear, but rather a statement piece.
