Released in 1970, Empreinte by Courrèges is woody, aromatic, earthy perfume with herbal undertones. Crafted by Robert Gonnon. Sensual and subtle dry down, french execution of a chypre done well, easy to recognize, with a unique animalic floral chypre. It opens with aldehydes, artemisia, bergamot, coriander and peach, transitions through heart notes of iris, jasmine, melon and rose, and settles into a warm base of amber, castoreum, oak moss, patchouli, sandalwood and virginia cedar. Good Projection and performance is average around 3 hours.
