Released in 1987, Vanisia by Creed is amber, woody, powdery perfume with animalic undertones. Crafted by Olivier Creed. It opens with bergamot, transitions through heart notes of bulgarian rose and jasmine, and settles into a warm base of amber, ambergris, sandalwood and vanille. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.

Vanisia leans quite feminine to my nose, a really rich and warm oriental that brings to mind classic perfumery. The blend of rose and vanilla alongside that deep ambergris and amber really gives it a luxurious feel, and it performs incredibly well. This one projects quite a bit and lasts for ages, so it is probably best suited for a dressed up social event or a special evening out, definitely not an office scent. It has that unmistakable quality of a bygone era, like a sophisticated relative of some vintage Guerlain orientals.
