Released in 1962, Bal à Versailles by Jean Desprez is amber, powdery, woody perfume with animalic undertones. Crafted by Jean Desprez. Warm, golden, multilayered fragrance, good for cold weather, vintage scent that takes you back in time. It opens with bergamot, bulgarian rose, cassia, jasmine, lemon, mandarin orange, neroli, orange blossom, rose and rosemary, transitions through heart notes of leather, lilac, lily-of-the-valley, orris root, patchouli, sandalwood, vetiver and ylang-ylang, and settles into a warm base of amber, benzoin, cedar, civet, musk, resins, tolu balsam and vanilla. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.
