Released in 1977, Opium Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent is amber, warm spicy, woody perfume with balsamic undertones. Crafted by Jean-Louis Sieuzac and Jean Amic. Rich and luxurious scent, excellent for oriental fragrance lovers, good staying power. It opens with bergamot, citruses, cloves, coriander, jasmine, mandarin orange, pepper, plum and west indian bay, transitions through heart notes of carnation, cinnamon, lily-of-the-valley, orris root, patchouli, peach, rose and sandalwood, and settles into a warm base of amber, benzoin, castoreum, cedar, coconut, incense, labdanum, musk, myrrh, opoponax, sandalwood, tolu balsam, vanilla and vetyver. Projection Monster and performance is long lasting 8+ hours.
