Released in 2014, Splendid Wood by Yves Saint Laurent is woody, warm spicy, oud perfume with amber undertones. Crafted by Marie Salamagne and Amandine Clerc-Marie. Niche quality with potent and luxurious feel, mildly spicy and woody with incense that isn't overdone, suitable for cooler months. It opens with cardamom and incense, transitions through heart notes of jasmine sambac and oriental woodsy notes, and settles into a warm base of agarwood (oud), cedar and cypriol oil or nagarmotha. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.
