Released in 1921, No 5 Parfum by Chanel is powdery, woody, aldehydic perfume with fresh undertones. Crafted by Ernest Beaux. Iconic and timeless scent, sophisticated and formal, charming and seductive without being vulgar. It opens with aldehydes, bergamot, lemon, neroli and ylang-ylang, transitions through heart notes of iris, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, orris root and rose, and settles into a warm base of amber, civet, moss, musk, patchouli, sandalwood, vanilla and vetiver.
