It opens with amalfi lemon, bergamot, black currant, gardenia, jasmine, mandarin orange, truffle and ylang-ylang, transitions through heart notes of fruity notes, gardenia, jasmine, lotus, orchid, spices and ylang-ylang, and settles into a warm base of amber, incense, mexican chocolate, patchouli, sandalwood, vanille, vetiver and white musk. Black Orchid delivers a deep, opulent scent, dominated by a unique blend of dark chocolate, earthy truffle, and exotic florals. While originally marketed towards women, I find it confidently unisex and perfect for a man who isn't afraid of something bold. Its fantastic longevity and strong sillage make it ideal for cooler evening social gatherings, like a memorable date night, but it's definitely too much for the office.
