Released in 1971, Rive Gauche by Yves Saint Laurent is aldehydic, white floral, woody perfume with earthy undertones. Underrated and overlooked in the current market of sweet florals, has a sophisticated and mature character, adored by some as a classic and glamorous scent. It opens with aldehydes, bergamot, green notes, honeysuckle, lemon and peach, transitions through heart notes of gardenia, geranium, iris, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley, magnolia, rose and ylang-ylang, and settles into a warm base of amber, musk, oakmoss, sandalwood, tahitian vetiver and tonka bean. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.
