Overall scent
Community-only average: 4.0
Released in 2007, Bois Rouge by Tom Ford is woody, leather, aromatic perfume with earthy undertones. It opens with bergamot, transitions through heart notes of cedar, jasmine, lily-of-the-valley and patchouli, and settles into a warm base of amber, leather, sandalwood and vetiver. Good Projection and performance is above average 6+ hours.

Bois Rouge from Tom Ford is a robust oriental woody scent that leans decidedly masculine on my skin. It opens with a fleeting citrus but quickly settles into a rich blend of deep woods, worn leather, and warm amber, balanced by just a hint of those white florals to keep it from being too heavy. Longevity is impressive, easily lasting through an evening, and it projects well enough to get noticed without being overwhelming, making it perfect for a social gathering or a sophisticated date night. I particularly enjoy how it develops over time, almost like a cozy, expensive leather jacket that has absorbed years of stories.
